Paving upgrading – Triq Santu Wistin Rabat

This project consists of paving with lava paving slabs of Misrah L’Isle Adam and Triq Santu Wistin and paving with hardstone and lava Vjal Santu Wistin.

Misrah Santu Wistin, Rabat - Perspective 1

Part of Triq Santu Wistin is paved in lava but the paving was damaged when infrastructural works were carried out in this street.

The existing lava in Triq Santu Wistin will be removed and relayed again by Government personnel. Paving works utilizing new lava paving material will be done by private contractor. Existing services will be upgraded or repaired as necessary.

In view that this site which is on the outskirts of Mdina is considered to be a sensitive site and the finding of archaeological remains is not excluded an independent Archaeologist will be commissioned to monitor works.

The project is approved by Mepa and tenders for paving works and archaeological monitoring awarded.

Estimate of works (not including wages of Government workers) €450,000.
