CTD01 : Commissioning of photogrammetrical Survey:

The Restoration Directorate within the Project Design and Implementation Department, Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs, is the principal public entity entrusted with the restoration and rehabilitation of government owned property. This project is being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo as the Ministry responsible for the overall management of the Cittadella. 

The overall objectives of this project:

• is to record in detail and map the present state of the fabric of the Citadel fortifications, rock outcrop on which it is constructed and immediate terrain in order to provide the basic information for the stabilisation of the terrain and restoration/ conservation of the masonry fabric.
• To create an accurate and high definition 3-D model of the terrain surrounding the Citadel fortifications from which could be generated accurate and legible 2-dimensional drawings (elevations, sections, etc) which will form the basis of a scientific restoration interventions on the Citadel fortifications and its environs.
• Is the mapping of the present deterioration mechanisms of the masonry structure and geological outcrops.
